LVP are excited to announce that their summer production will be Disney's Frozen, the West End Musical.

We have limited spaces available in our cast, and will be holding an Audition and Open Evening on Sunday 8th March at 7pm in Launton Parish Hall. Please email membership@launtonvillageplayers.org.uk to book your place and read on for more information!

Audition and Open Evening

Our Audition and Open Evening will be on Sunday 8th March 2026 at 7pm in Launton Parish Hall. We have limited spaces in our cast for new members.

All are welcome, although we are particularly looking for the following for both principal and cameo roles, and for ensemble roles:

• Teenagers (13+) and young adults
• Male actors
• Enthusiastic performers and singers

Please note that any under-18’s attending must have a parent / guardian stay with them for the duration of the evening.

Please email membership@launtonvillageplayers.org.uk to book your place, so we know how many people to expect and can plan the evening accordingly.

The evening will consist of two parts with a refreshment break in between:

Part 1

We ask everyone to come ready for a 7pm start. Access to the hall will be available from 6:40pm onwards and we encourage you to come early so you have time to sign in and meet us.

We will begin the evening by introducing ourselves, and giving a bit of information about the show and LVP.

We will then sing one or two songs from Frozen as a group. We will split into smaller groups, and there will be the chance for those who wish to, to have a go at singing a solo line. Words and sheet music will be provided.

We will also learn a short dance routine from the show. Everyone is welcome to stay for the refreshment break.

Part 2

Everyone is welcome to stay, but those who would like to be considered for solo roles are asked to come prepared to sing one of the following songs – you can either learn it in advance or bring words with you.

We will have the backing track and will play it through our own speaker. Links to the track with the vocal line and the vocal scores are included below to help you practise.

You can choose any one of the above songs to sing (this is not indicative of available parts but is intended to give a range of songs and vocal ranges for you to choose from).

We will also have a number of extracts from the show prepared and will ask you to read one or more parts – this may be with other auditionees, or with some existing LVP members. Please note that the parts you will be asked to read have no reflection on which roles may / may not be available.

At the end of the evening (whether you leave after the refreshment break, or stay until the end), we will ask you to fill out a short questionnaire.

Audition Outcome

Our team will be in touch with you within 2 weeks to let you know if we can offer you a role in the production.

Membership Information

If you are offered a place in the production, we will ask you to become a member of LVP at a cost of £15 for Adults, or £7.50 for under-18’s.

Regardless of the outcome of the Audition / Open evening, you are still welcome to join LVP, either as a member (£15) or as a Friend (free)

Rehearsals and Performance Information

Rehearsals

Rehearsals will take place at Hare Leys Farm, Launton, OX26 5AB.

Rehearsals commence on Sunday 19th April 2026, running weekly until our performance dates.

We also rehearse weekly on Friday evenings at 7pm from Friday 29th May 2026 until the show, with dress rehearsals from Sunday 5th July (daytime) and several weekday evenings during the following week.

Please note, additional rehearsals may be required for select cast members.

Performances

Our performances will take place at our pop-up theatre “The Big Shed Theatre” at Hare Leys Farm, Launton, OX26 5AB.

Performance dates and times are:

• Friday 10th July at 6:30pm
• Saturday 11th July at 2:30pm and 6:30pm
• Sunday 12th July at 11am (relaxed performance) and 3:00pm

Under 18’s

LVP has a comprehensive safeguarding policy. Under 18’s are required to have a parent or nominated responsible adult with them at all rehearsals, costume checks etc.

During performances we operate a chaperone system and our Designated Safeguarding Officer will arrange for the young people to be appropriately licensed through Oxfordshire County Council.
