Quoted from our constitution

So we put on shows, have fun and work hard as well as raising money for good causes and other charities.

Everyone gives up their time to rehearse and perform and their love for what they are doing has resulted in the group becoming a known and loved institution in the local area. New members are always welcome. LVP do not generally audition as the group believes that everyone has a talent to offer and we only ask for commitment and enthusiasm! Covid-19 Update

Like most Am Dram groups, the Covid-19 pandemic interrupted our normal activities, and we were lucky that we managed to perform our pantomime in February 2020 before the first lockdown.

During lockdowns we held regular zoom socials, including quizzes, read-throughs, “open mic” nights, craft evenings and an online escape room.

In the last 12 months we have gradually returned to doing what we love - we performed an outdoor variety show "Another Opening, Another Show" in August 2021, and our family pantomime "Dick Whittington" in February 2022.

We always follow government guidance and take steps to make sure we rehearse in as safe an environment as possible. When rehearsing inside, we ensure there is adequate ventilation, and last year received funding from Councillor Ian Corkin for a HEPA filter to use in our rehearsal venues. If you have further questions about this, please get in touch.
