St Edburg's Christmas Tree Festival 2024
Written by Cath Moyse - Tue 3rd Dec 2024
We had a fun morning on Thursday making lanterns and roses to decorate the Beauty and the Beast themed LVP tree at the Christmas Tree Festival, singing along to Christmas songs on the radio and generally getting in the Christmas mood. A glass of mulled wine would have completed the ambience, but we decided that 10 o’clock in the morning was just a little bit too early, so made do with a cup of tea instead.
After a few false starts we got the hang of making the tissue paper roses and we’re very pleased with the results. Eileen also made three golden acorns which will be hidden in the tree for visitors to find.
Come along to St Edburg’s on Friday, Saturday or Sunday and see the church transferred into a magical forest of over 70 twinkling trees decorated by local organisations.
Make sure you find the three golden acorns hidden on the LVP tree - and don't forget to get your tickets for our 2025 panto "Beauty and the Beast", performances are from Weds 19th to Sat 22nd February in Cooper School Performance Hall.
