The Village Players are excited to present THE SNOW QUEEN as their 2020 panto, represented in Christmas tree form in the photos here, from the St Edburg’s festival in Dec. 2019.
The story is based on the traditional classic written by Hans Christian Anderson. We follow Gerda on her adventures as she sets off to rescue her best friend Kai from the icy Snow Queen. Along the way she meets many friends, but can she overcome the Snow Queen’s wicked magic and save the day?
A treat for adults and children alike, this family friendly traditional pantomime contains fantastic original music, hilarious characters, traditional slapstick, lots of magic and audience participation.

About the show:
This is a traditional family pantomime, suitable for all ages from babies to age 100+. We actively encourage families with young children to attend, and often find children are mesmerised by the action on stage. If for any reason you need to step out, there is space at the side of the hall, or plenty of space Front of House if you need a quieter moment.
Whilst we use some special effects (for example, UV lighting, glitter balls) we do not use any loud bangs or strobe lighting.
